Show Local News Mrs. James McCausland, who has been a shut in for the past five months, was made happy on her birthday anniversary, Tuesday, Tues-day, April 8, when a party of close relatives from Provo came in to spend the afternoon. They were Mrs. McCausland's mother Mrs. Sarah Cummnigs. her sister Mrs. Bessie Calderwood, Mrs. Luella Skip-worth, Mrs. Beth Caklewood, and son Bobby, all of Provo and Dora Rees. In the evening neighbors neigh-bors called bringing with them ice cream and cake, a very pleasant surprise. They were: Mr. and Mis. Albert Nystroni, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Price, and Mr. and Mis. Henry Peterson and Peppy of Lehi. A timely easter theme, through the rooms, table decorations and luncheon was skillfully carried out Thursday evening when Mrs. La-Vell La-Vell Boren entertained the Variety Var-iety club at her home. Following the tasty luncheon the ladies played play-ed Pitt. Mrs. O. L. Swenson and Mrs. Jack Boren were invited guests. Mrs. Wm. Hunter and Mrs. O. L. Swenson won the first prizes, -while Mrs. Ralph Peterson and Mrs. Mont Blackhurst, received rece-ived consolation prizes. Other present were Mrs. Reed Halliday, Mrs. Cecil Bullock, Mrs. Willis Larson, Mrs. Howard War-nick, War-nick, Mrs. Elvin Carson, Mrs. Harold Armitstead, Mrs. Reed Orton, Mrs. Charles Harper. Next meeting will be with Mrs. Mont Blackhurst on April 17. |
