Show Manila Camp of DUP Holds First Regular Meeting First regular meeting of the Manila Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, was held at the home of Captain Cora Atwood on September Septem-ber 11th. There were 11 members and prospective new- members present. pres-ent. A sketch of the life of Hannah Elida Baldwin was given by her grand-daughter. Elizabeth Frost Roundy, and the group was honored hon-ored to have Mrs. Roundy's sister, who was named after her grandmother, grand-mother, present, to hear the sketch. The lesson of "Pioneer Markers" Mark-ers" was very well given by Lesson Leader, Adena Swenson. The group was interested in hearing about our own local markers and others throughout the state that have been placed by the DUP to commemorate historic happenings. A light lunch was served by Captain Cora Atwod and Adena Swenson. The next meeting is to be held at. the home of First Vice Captain Mary T. Monson, on Oct. 9th. |
