Show Returns From Trip Mr. and Mrs. Archie Maxfieid have returned from a trip throug-h Arizona in company with Mrs. Thora R. Lambert and son Glen, and Kay of Kamas. They visited with the children of Lucy and Clara Gleason Rogers. Among the interesting places were Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, New Mexico, they saw the Painted Desert, and rode through the petrified forest of Arizona. They visited at Snowfalke and St. Johns and in the Salt Paver Valley Val-ley and in Mesa and Phoenix. They saw orchards of grapefruit, grape-fruit, oranges and dates and fields of cotton and lettuce. They visited the beautiful temple at Mesa, and on to Yuma and in the great Yuma Valley, saw immense fields of lettuce, where in some fields gangs of men were thinning and others harvesting and fields of flax just planted, and great stacks of baled hay. They visited the huge Imperial Diversion Dam, which furnishes water for the Imperial canal. Entering Old Mexico they visited the Mexican town of San Luis. Returning' Re-turning' through California and Nevada, visiting Boulder dam and so on home. |
