Show Armistice Day Program Held Friday Evening American Legion Posst No. 70 and auxiliary joined by the American Am-erican Fork Post held a very successful suc-cessful Armistice Day Program at Alpine Grill on Friday evening. Nov. 11. Reuben Tomlinson and Norma Bronson were co-chairman of the 1 affair. The dining tables carried out a beautifully arranged patriotic theme, featuring the Stars and Stripes both in the centerpiece and favors. Commander S. W. Hilton was in charge of the turkey dinner. Committee on decorations were Emily Pedersen, Chairman, Sylvia Peterson, Hannah Mathews, Thel-ma Thel-ma Adamson. Program committee were Doris Rogers, Rose Radmall, Lydia Hilton and Reva Ahman. There were two vocal numbers from a ladies trio from the Am. Fork group. They were Mrs. Mer-rlli Mer-rlli J. Robinson, Mrs. Joshua Gray I and Mrs. J. E. Horton, accompanied by Mrs. Phillip W. Green. J A humorous skit by Karl Banks and Irwin Jensen, and two vocal duets by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Mrs. Vernon Ahman completed the program. Twenty-five couples from the American Fork post were present among whom were Commander and Mrs. Phillip Greene, vice commander comman-der and Mrs. Jack Iverson, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. McNeil, and auxiliary president Mrs. Esther Bennett and Mr. Bennett. |
