Show The Pledge Somtimes you may wonder why the 4-H has a pledge. Maybe you know. Well I will tell you a little bit about it by beginning with the pledge. I pledge my head to clear thinking. My heart to greater loyalty. loy-alty. My hands to larger service. My health to better living for my club, my community and my country. Did we pledge our heads to clearer thinking? That is because in 4-H you learn to think clearer, ii.U do things bettor. Did we pledge our hearts to great loyalty? That is because way down in our hearts we want to be better citizens and loyal'to our country. Yes we did say we pledge our hearts to greater loyalty. loy-alty. Did we pledge our hands to larger lar-ger service. That is because we ; want to do our tasks the best and help others. j Did we pledge our health to better bet-ter living? Yes, it takes a healty boy or girl to do a good job. If each club member obeys the club pledge we have a fine club. Good clubs make a good community. com-munity. A. better country is made of good communities. So in 4-H club work we get the four fold training by living up to the pledge. Mrs. Joyce Fugal Giles and 3 children of Nephi are visiting their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Neils Fugal. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Atkinson on Saturday evening attended a dinner party, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Moran of Provo. 10 ether guests weer present.
