Show American Fork Locals Miss Mildred Bate of Salt Lake City spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bate. Mrs. Samuel Wagstaff of Salt Lake City is visiting for two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Kate Lloyd. visited in Provo on Wednesday with their daughter, Mrs. A. Russell Mortensen and family. Mrs. A. B. Yancey and Mrs. Frank Hoggard were Provo visitors visi-tors on Saturday. Mrs. J. A. P. Jensen of Los Angeles spent the first of the week here with relatives. . She was the house guest of her sister, Mrs. Orval C. Mercer. Janice Chipman entertained at a Halloween party Friday evening eve-ning at the home 'of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chip-man. Chip-man. The Halloween theme was carried out in the home decorations, decora-tions, the refreshments and the games. Present were Mazie Nash, Carol Boulter, Joan Chad-wick, Chad-wick, Marilyn Miller, Callie Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Doris Laursen, Geaniel Chipman, Leland Briggs, Maurice Peay, Teddy Staulf us, Ray Kitchen, Kitch-en, Max Pierce and Monte Lee. Mrs. Ersal S. Fagan returned last Wednesday from . Salina, Kansas, where she has visited a month with her husband. Mr. Fagan has now been transferred to the O'Riley General Hospital surgical school at Springfield, Mo. ! - ' Mrs. Vern Walker returned Tuesday from a trip to Long Beach, California, where she visited with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur I Gordon. Bob Walker who has been stationed at Santa Ana was also able to visit two days with his mother. Attending the funeral of Mrs. Iris Bate Walker in Provo on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer El-mer Bate, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bate, Mrs. Hannah Rhodes, Mrs. John Binns, Mrs. Leo H. Wootton, Vern Walker, President Clifford E. Young and Bishop Joseph H. Storrs. President Young and 1 Bishop Storrs were speakers. Mrs. Morley A. Zabriskie left Thursday morning for San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Cal., where she will visit with her son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Cpl. and Mrs'. Irving Johnson. John-son. Mrs. Zabriskie also hopes to be able to visit with her son. Pfc. Robert, who is stationed at Fort Ord. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Wright were Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Wright of Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reef of Spanish Fork. Miss Valine Hansen, who has been employed by the Small Arms Plant in Salt Lake City for the past 19 months, left last Thursday for Roseville, Cal., for an indefinite stay. |
