Show FINAL KLSPKCTS PAID TO UTAH PIONEER Impressive funeral rites were conducted Sautrday afternoon in the Ficst Ward Chapel for Horrace iZ. ZabrisUie, r.t-e, I pioneer of this community, who died earlier in Ce week in a Salt Lake hospital. The services, directed by Bishop J. A. West began at 2 P. M. with Mrs. May R. Walker and Mrs. Berniece Christensen singing a duet 'Sometime We'll Understand" They w-ere acocmpanied by Mrs. Louise Heidenreich. Invocation was asked by Golieb Buhler. Speakers who paid tribute to the life and works of the departed, and spoke words of faith and encouragement encour-agement to the relatives were: William J. Luke of Kingston ward, Garfield Stake; 11. W. Pinney South Sevier Stake; Wm. C. Smith of the Timpanogos Stake Presidency; Presid-ency; and Charles E. Rowan, president pres-ident of the Provo Stake. All eulogized the life of Mr. Zabriskie as a pioneer and empire builder and gave faith promotion thots and strong testimonies of the Gaspel. Bishop West offered closing thots and exrpesed appreciation for the family. Musical number besides the epen-ing epen-ing duet, were a violin solo, "Because" "Be-cause" by Miss Marilyn Richards, accompanied by Miss Carol Clark; a vocal solo 'That Beautiful Land" by Mrs. Isabella P. Rust accompanied accompan-ied by Miss Clark, and the closing-number closing-number "Going Home by Mrs. Ber-nice Ber-nice Christensen accompanied by Miss Clark. Joseph H. Adams pronounced the benediction and Oscar Evans offered the dedicatory prayer at the graveside in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Pall bearers all close relatives included: Loren Bryner, Maroni Sanders, Lloyd Zabriskie, Morley Zabriskie, Eldon Van Wagnon and Alva Van Wag-non. |
