Show PARENTS ANNOUNCE MARRAIGE OF I'HrJltl DAUGHTER Mr. and Mrs. David Walker announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter and Mr. Alonzo Hooley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hooley. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake L. D. S. Temple, on Wednesday, January 20th, where the young couple was accompanied by the bride's parents and Mrs. Mabel Thome and Mrs. Eva Gardiner. Gard-iner. On Saturday evening, January 23rd, Mr. and Mrs. Walker entertained enter-tained at a beautifully arranged wedding reception in honor of the young couple. The Second ward recreation hall where the pleasant affair took place was tastefully decorated with potted plants and ferns. In the receiving line were the bride's parents, the groom's parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hooley, the bride and groom, Mrs. Earl Boothe, ratron of honor: Miss Geneal thorne, Miss Billie Dale and Miss Joyce Clark bride's maids; and I Ted Foutin best man. The bride was charming in a long gown of white satin, with a lace trimmed chiffon viel, fingertip length. She carried a bridal' bouquet bou-quet of roses and sweet peas. Mrs. Boothe and Miss Thorne wore blue. Miss Dale chose pale pink and Miss Clark rose. All wore corsages of swet peas. Mrs Walker wore a gown of dark green, while Mrs. Hooley appeared ap-peared in dusky pink. Both ladies wore corsages fo sweet peas. The men of the bridal party wore dark suits with write carnation carna-tion boutonnieres. Ushers were Norman Wright and Lowell Baxter Bax-ter Elvin Thorne was master of ceremonies cere-monies and after th bridal march conductd a spicy program. Vocal solo "There Are Such Things," Mrs.- Margaret Devereax, accompanied by Mrs. Mary B. Walker; Viloin solo "Love's Greeting" Greet-ing" Miss Marlyn Richards accompanied accom-panied hy Miss Carol Clark; vocal solo "Me an My Gal" by Miss Bobbie Bob-bie Dale accompanied by Miss Bill-lie Bill-lie Dale; reading by George Paul. Vocal solo by Melva Gardiner, accompanied by MTss Dale; a voacl solo, "Dearest" Warren Kirk, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Carol Clark; The toast to the newly weds was given by Mrs. Owen Ash. The refreshment table at the end of the hall was covered with a lace cloth over pink and enchanced by potted plants. Refreshments were served from sparkling crystal bowls, with Mrs Terry Jensen and Mrs. Archie Green in charge. They were assisted by the Misess Doris Betty and Donna Green. The wonderful gift display was arranged ar-ranged on the stage and was presided pre-sided over bv Mrs Elvin Thorne and Msr. Heber Gardiner assisting them were Alta May Jensen S.hir-lev S.hir-lev Green and Kathleen Green. Dancing to the music of Howard Nelsons orchestra completed the evening's entertainment. The young couple, both ponular members of the younp socnr set will make their home here, where Mrs. Hoolev will complete her high school work. |
