Show x Forester Offers Trees For Farm Planting Order blanks for farm-forest tree planting stocks will be distributed on February 1 to all past cooperators and those who have sent in inquiry blanks, announces J. Whitney Floyd, extension forester at the Utah State Agricultural college. Mr. Floyd reports that 180,000 trees of nine different species will be made available for the spring planting season in Utah. The nine species of trees include: black walnut, honey locust, Russian olive, black locust, Siberian elm, green ash, Eastern red cedar, pon-derosa pon-derosa pine, and golden willow. Farmers may obtain order blanks for these trees by contacting one of the following: county agricultural agent, local forest supervisor, Soil Conservation Service district supervisor, super-visor, or the USAC extension forester. |
