Show hunera I Held Friday For Isaac J. Wadley The first funeral services to be held in the new l ir.st Ward Chapel were conducted Friday at 2 o'clock when relatievs and friends met to pay respects t the memory of S. V,'. , , ; "-press sympathy sym-pathy to the family.-: Bishop Junius A. West was in charge The opening number was a duet '"Whispering Hope" and sung by Mrs. Orpha Mecham and Mrs Maurine Allen accompanied by Mrs. Effie W. Adams followed by invocation by Jos. Adams. A well prepared biographical sketch was read by Mrs. Jeanetta W. Warnick,. a sister of the departed. de-parted. The first speaker was E. F. Walker a life-long friend of the Wadley family. President W. W.w Warnick, a brother-in-law of the deceased, who he' said was never enrious or seeking seek-ing the high places but happy and contented to live his life in his own way. Thomas McKay assistant to the Twelve and a cousin of Mr. Waldey told of the happy experiences with the Wadley boys many years ago, at the Wadley ranch in Manila, and after bearing a stirring testimony of the gospel, read Guests' poem, "When You Get To Know a Fellow" Closing remarks were made by Bishop West who paid tribute to the departed as a good neighbor & expressed appreciation for the fam- iiy. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers included: an organ solo by Irwin Jensen; a vocal duet, "Beautiful Isle" by Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Mecham accompanied by Mrs. Adams; a Violin solo Lrago, from Handel by Miss Dawn Marie Adams accompanied hy Miss Lyra-via Lyra-via Jesen and the closing number a vocal solo "O My Father" by Mrs. Emma Olson accompanied by Mrs Effie Adams. Benediction was pronounced bv H. B. Warnick. Prelude and post-lude post-lude orsran music was played by Irwin Jense and Carol Smith. Burial took place in the Pleasant Grove cemetery where Bishoo H. V. Swensen offered the dedicatory praver. Pall bears were Chris. Christen-pii Christen-pii Max Wimmer, Kay Wimmer. nlnh Allen. |
