Dittmore and Blanche Down Dittmore, lie attended the LinUon grade school and the Pleasant Grove High School. In his high school he was awarded certificates I of merit for outstanding work in debating, dramatics," and football, during is Junior and Senior years. He was one of the four honor students stu-dents in his graduation class. He also received recognition from the Dunforth Foudation of St Louis, Mo. as an outstanding male student stu-dent for 1940,- Autin was all ways active religiously. relig-iously. He gave the valedictory in the Seminary Class graduation. Called to be Secretary of the Lin-don Lin-don Ward Sunday School when only 16 years old", he held this position pos-ition until May, VXi'J, when he was called to be Secretary of the Tim-nanofros- Stake Sunday School. At that time he was the youngest Stake Board member in the church. Later he was called to serve as Coiineelfor to John H. Muzt-l hi the Stake Board. He held this B positon until he entered, the armed forces to serve his country. He was inducted into the army December 23 10-12. In the placement place-ment examinations hp was classified classi-fied as a. clerk and sent to Saint Petersburg Florida. Tn recognition recogni-tion of his 2 years of college work and the examinations" passed"" In FWirln he was sent to Los Angeles, Ang-eles, California after one month of training ir. St. Petersburg. While in" Los Amreles he attended the Swayer Business College from which he graduated April 3, 1943, as one of the seven honor students.
