Show Only A Card Ration For Hunting Deer hunters this year who hold A gasoline ration cards won't have to worry about OPA investigators tagging them all over the state. In response to a letter from Ross Leonard, state fish and gamp director, the OPA clarified Its position regarding deer hunting hunt-ing for A card holders. The OPA, the letter said, is not opposed to deer hunting this season, or any other recreational pastime. However, only a select few may hunt deer without restriction, namely, the A card holders. These drivers are entitled to 240 miles, and how the driver wants to use these 240 miles is his own business. But supplemental ration ra-tion card . holders ? cannot use their B and C coupons for anything any-thing but the essential activity for which they were issued. Any hunter found sporting around with a B or C card is subject to OPA Investigation, and must be prepared to prove that he, is not using his B or C card for hunting purposes. All hunters are warned to stay within their ration allowances because the enforcement division of the OPA plans to check the amounts of gasoline used by the hunters. |
