Show Friends Pay Respects To May T. Yancey ! . - i' Touching and impressive funeral rites were conducted Spunday in the Second Ward Chapel for Mrs. , ... May T. Yancey. Under the direction of the Second Sec-ond Ward Bishopric, the service, beautiful in its simplicity began at 4 o'clock with Bishop C. R. Clark in charge. The opening number, "Beautiful Isle" was' rendered ren-dered by the Second Ward Sing- ing-Mothers,-of, which" Mrs "Yancey "Yan-cey was a member They were directed by Mrs. Pearl McMillen and. accomuanied by Mrs. Sarah Clark. I Invoction was offered by Lewis Olpin. A short sketch of Mrs. Yancey's life was read by her son in law, Walter Williams. Speakers who eulogized the life of the deceased and told of 'her love for her family and devotion to her church, as well as her strong faith in the gospel, were: Joseph Olpin of Heber City, a former neighbor, who Bls0 td of the years of friendship between his family and that of Mrs. Yancey; Yan-cey; and Patriarch D. B.' Thome, also a lifelong friend. Both spoke words of hope and faith and urged the children as well as the grandchildren grand-children to keep the commandments . of God as their mother had taught them. J A thribute to Mrs. Yancey written writ-ten by a former neighbor J. Ed. Bush, was read by his niece Miss Lucille Bush. . Closing remarks of respect and appreciation for the departed ana her family were made by Bishop C. R. Clark. i Other musical numbers were a vocal duet, "Just For Today" by Mrs. May R, Walker and Jesse R. Walker , accompanied by Mrs. Jesse R. Walker; alvocal solo "Beautiful Dreams" by ' Eugene Nelson, ac--companied by Miss Jennie Gleason, and the closing number, "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows" by the Singing Mothers. Benediction was, pronounced by Thos. Fenton. Interment was made in the Pleasant. Pleas-ant. Grove City cemetery, where Reed Walker of the Second Ward Bishopric offered the dedicatory . prayer. Pall bearers were close relatives of the deceased and inculded: Clif- ford Tomlinson, Reuben Tomlinson, Rudger Smith, Dean Green & Hen-ry Hen-ry Hardman. ,. Mrs. .
