Show Funeral For Vivian West Satur. 1 P. M. Vivian N. West, retired forest ranger died at the American Fork hospital Tuesday night after an ex-teded ex-teded illness. He was born Sept. 19, 1334, at Pleasant Grove, a son of Nathaniel and Josephine Dickerson West. On December 9, 1903, he married Mary Jane Adamson, who survives. He is also survived by their five children: Mrs. Ora Thome, Lloyd, Virgil and Ford West, of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Thelma Frampton, Provo; 13 grand children, his parents and the following brothers and sisters: D. A. West,. Salt Lake City; Col. J. Wallace Wal-lace West with the TJ. S.. armed forces in France; Major Elroy R. West,, with the U. S. air corps In Smyrus, Ten; Bryan F. West, Philadelphia, Phila-delphia, Penn; Mrs. Geneva W. Warnick, Misss Reva West, and Vance West. One of his grandsons Joseph L. Thome left Saturday for the Pacific with the TJ. S. Seasbees. Mr. West served as a TJ. S. Forest ranger from 1911 to 1939, serving at the Humboldt national forest and Ruby national forest in Nevada and the TJinta national forert and the Wasatch national forest in Uth. From 1917 until his retirement In 1939 he was stationed at the South Fork, American Fork canyon ranger station. Mr. West has been prominent in civic affairs. He served as Mayor of Pleasant Grove during 1940 and 1941. 'He is a member of the L D S Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake Tabernacle by Neil T. Fugal Bishop. Burial will be in t'-. -Pleasant Grove cemetery..
