Holder of the bronze star, Dale bad been in the army since July. 1942. and overseas a year. He landed land-ed on Normandy Willi the first invasion in-vasion trops. He graduated from the P. O. High School. He lias two brothers Staff Sergeants Fred and I.ynn Atwood, both serving over was, and four sisters, Margaret, Maxlne, Ann Beth and Mary Atwood, Pleasant Grove. Shipfiter 3-c Gean Christiansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Christiansen Christ-iansen American Fork, formerly of Pleasant Grove was killed in action in the South Pacific. Born in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove he recived Ids education educat-ion at Tooele and later moved to Nevada, where he was employed as a miner and rancher. He entered the sendee In August, 1042. Pfc. Edward, K. Dana, son tit Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Dana of Pleasnt Gorve wa.s wounded in action act-ion over Germany Nov. 22. A native of Weber county, he has been overseas over-seas two years. He participated in the battles of Casablanca and Sicily, and has served with the infantry in France since D-day. |
