Show News Items of Interest From Timp. Stake In the Pleasant Grove First ward t.lie Sunday School will present a Christmas program including a pageant by the Junior Sunday School. The Sunday evening Sacrament meeting in First ward will begin at 1 p. m. instead of the usual time. The program will feature a Christmas Christ-mas program. Sunday evening A. P. 'Warnick will be the speaker at toe Third ward sacrament meeting and special spec-ial music will be furnished by a girls chorus. Sunday school in the Third ward will conduct the following special Christmas program: Opening song and prayer; Seven minute talk Coming of Jesus, H. S. Walker; Scripture reading from the Book of Mormon, Eugene Hilton; Scripture reading from Bible. Grant Fugal. 2 songs and Child's Christmas Christ-mas prayer, Junior Sunday S'chool. 16 minute retold story. Marcia Wad-ley. Wad-ley. Concluding talk. Purpose of the coming of Jesus. Jean Fugal. Ushering in the Yuletide, the Sunday Schol and Primary will present pre-sent a program in the Third ward recreation hall at T.30 p. m. on Saturday evening, where Santa Claus will be present with gifts lor all. The Second Ward Sunday morning morn-ing program will be as follows: Pre- - liminary music, String Ensemble; Invocation B. H. Adams; opening eercises: Special program, Warren's Vocal Chorus, Old Italian Xmas Carols; Christmas Story by Sytha Johnson; String Ensemble; Christmas Christ-mas Story, Helen Wells; Warren's Vocal Chorus Christmas Carol Medley, Med-ley, Bendiction Dr. Wayne H. Driggs The Manila Christmas morning program to be presnted at 6 o'clock will be 'as follows: Preliminray Music, Organ Carols, Cora Atwood; Scripture reading Ef-fie Ef-fie Adams; Christmas Carols Star of the East, America, Relief Society Chorus; Talk, They Also Serve. Lynn Webb; Prayer, A. P. Wamick; Organ Carols, Cora Atwood. Children of Pleasant Grove will be visited by Santa Claus at the Central School this afternoon, Fri-doy, Fri-doy, when he will distribute candy and nuts and good wishes to those aesembled. This annual visit to the Central School by old Santa is an annual e-vent e-vent and all the youngsters, whether wheth-er in school or not are invited to be at the schojol hou.se Ftiday afternoon to recive their candy and nuts. |
