Show With The Service Men Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Beck and family spent Wednesday evening even-ing in Salt Lake City with their son and daughter in law, Private and Mrs. Reed Beck and baby. The Beck family is putting Christmas ahead a few days, in order to celebrate it with Private Beck who will return re-turn Sunday to Fort Riley, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Adamson have received word from their son D. Newell Adamson in Italy, that he has recently been advanced to Sergeant. Sergeant Adamson is recovering re-covering from an illness in a hospi- tal in Italy. Pfc. Lynn Peterson arrived Tuesday Tues-day from Station Island, New York, to visit with his wife Effie Zimmerman Zimmer-man Peterson and little dauhtcr of Lehi and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Peterson of Pleasant Grove. Pfc. Peterson is serving with the U. S. Military Police. Mrs. Ethel W. Carlson has received rece-ived word that her son T-4 E. Eugene Eug-ene West is among the American figting men in the Phillipine Islands. Is-lands. His brother Sergeant Dale H. West recently landed in New Guinea. Sergeant Marvin Radmall called his wffe Mrs. Helen H. Radmall from Ogden Tuesday evening extending exten-ding Christmas greetings to his family. Sergeant Radmall had only a twenty minute stop In Ogden while enroute to the west coast. Lieutenant and Mrs. Forrest Cul-llmore Cul-llmore arrived Tuesday from Sioux City Iowa, where Lt. Cullimore has just completed training as a pilot oh a B-17; and will spend a Jew days with the Lieuteants parents Mr. and Mrs. Vem Cullimore of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Culli-more's Culli-more's parents Mr. and Mrs. Mitch-el Mitch-el of American Fork. Lieutenant Cullimore will report back this week end to Sioux City for further as-ignment as-ignment while his wife will remain here. Captain Rex Gourley, according to word received by his parents Mr. and Mrs. David Gourley is confined con-fined to an army hospital at Fitz-simmons, Fitz-simmons, Colorado, where on Tuesday Tues-day of this week, he submitted to an operation. Captain Gourley has spent msny months in the South Mickey Talyor, Fireman 1c U. S. Navy is here spending a months leave with his wife Shirley West Taylor, and their little daughter, whom the young seaman had never seen. Seaman Taylor has spent 16 months In the South Pacific, and expresses the Christmas wish that all the boys out there could have come home with him. He will report re-port back to Treasure Island Jan-uay Jan-uay 7th. Pfc. Norman Wright arrived Saturday Sat-urday from Camp Crowder Mo., to spend the Yuleide with his mother Mrs Oral Wright and other relatives and friends. On leaving her Pvt. Wright will report at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. His brother Sgt. Gordon Wright left Thursday for Fort Sill, Okla after spending a furlough fur-lough here. e Pvt. His wife, Mrs. Ruby Taylor Gourley came by plane from Texas, to be with her husband in the Colorado City. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Perry Harper that their son Max Harer had been promoted from Corporal to Sergeant since he landd in Italy. Max left New York on September 52 for over seas duty |
