Mr. Leonard Madsen of Los Vegas, Nov., arrived here on Tuesday to visit with his father, Marius' Madsen. who is ill, and with other relatives. He is the house guest of a sister, Mrs. James Spencer. Mrs. Jane C. Robinson, Mrs. Ernest Seastrand, Mrs. Eldon Miller and daughter Ann, Mrs. Donald Ream and daughter Diane, and Mrs. Bruce Evans spent Saturday in Salt Lake City at a birthday party in honor of Mrs. James L. Deans (Jennavee Seastrand). Mrs. Chet Holm-berg Holm-berg (Lillian Seastrand) of Salt Lake City was also in attendance. atten-dance. Mrs. AVilford O. Nelson (Ellen Richins) arrived home on the 11th from Dayton, Ohio, where she has been with her husband. Mr. Nelson, who is now a Flying Cadet, is still stationed at the Dayton air base. Mrs. Nelson spent Sunday as guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Nelson. She will be at home for the present with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Richins of Pleasant Grove. . - In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Barker who left last Saturday Satur-day for Taylorsville to make their home, Mrs. Kenneth McDonald Mc-Donald entertained at dinner. Covers were laid for Mr. and Airs. Lvnn Milne, Air. and Mrs. John Madden. Mr" and Mrs. Francis Abel, the guests of honor, the host and hostess. Airs. Stephen F. Beck went to Salt. Lake on Tuesday to assist her daughter, Airs. Baron Pearson, Pear-son, to move to American Fork. Mr. Pearson has been called into the army and will leave this week to join a corps of engineers in Louisiana. A.Irs. Pearson and little -daughter, Geraldine, will make their home with her parents par-ents for the present. Mrs. William Chipman, Mrs. William Thornton and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Briggs went to Lehi Wednesday Wed-nesday to attend the funeral of their cousin, Maurice Trane. Mr. Trane is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Trane and the grandson of Mrs. Lettie Gudmundsen, a former resident of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Martell of New York City were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La-Vere La-Vere Wadley on Sunday. Mr. Martell is a cousin of Mrs. Wadley. Wad-ley. Other Sunday visitors at the Wadley home were Mrs. Eve Hodson, Mr. and Mrs. Martell Hodson, daughter Barbara and sons, Fred and Billie; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Snarr and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coltrin, all of Salt Lake City. |
