Show Garth Roundy i Garth A. Roundy, son of Heber L. and Elizabeth Roundy is now a j Staff Sergeant in a medical battalion batt-alion in the U. S. army. He was born in Snowflake, Arizona, Jan. 00 101Q and TYinvpH with his nar- 'ents to Utah in 1925. j He attended grade school at Venice and American Fork. The family moved to the Manila ward in 1933 and he finished his schooling school-ing at PVasant Grove. He volunteered for service in the U. S. army, being inducted on Jan. 22, 1941. He was sent to Monterey, Monter-ey, California and from there to Fort Ord, where he remained until after the 7th of December, 1941, when he was detailed for guard duty up and down the State of California. In June, 1942, has was stationed station-ed at San Luis Obispo, where he-received he-received a promotion from Private to Technician (grade 4) Medical Department Tactical Group.
