Mrs. Hazel Bailey and Miss Shirley Shir-ley Bailey visited the fore part of the week with their mother and grand-mother Mrs. J. D. Wadley. Miss Fay Beal of Salt Lake City spent Sunday here with her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Geo. B. Peay. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Royle are moving into their new home in the First Ward this week. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Gunderson of Eureka visited two days last week with Mr. Gunderson's sister and brother in law Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bradley and family. Rece(, dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harris and familyy were Mrs. Theora Marcell and daughter Sher-ee. Sher-ee. Alta Wave, and Sarah and Clara Kearns all of Provo. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hancock were Mr. and Mrs. David Roberts and Duane Hancock of Midvale. Miss Ruth Fage of the L. D. S. hospital arrived home Thursday to enjoy a vacation, with her mother, Mrs. Mary Fage. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs received rece-ived a telegram on Sunday an-nnouncing an-nnouncing the birth of a grand son. The little newcomer arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Rol-and Jacobs of Palo Alto, California. Mrs. Wm. Blackwell left Sunday by bus for Los Angeles, where she will spend two weeks with her son in law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Van Wagnon and son Dixon. Prior to his departure to enter the U. S. army, Gordon Wright was honored last Saturday evening at the H. E. Monson home in the Third ward, where a bonfire party was given, by these close friends: Miss Winona Monson, Miss Marlyn Richards, Miss Carol Clark,' Mr. Warren Kirk and Mr. Calvin Jacob. Mrs. H. E. Bradley entertained her bii.lge club last Wednesday evening at her home. Prizes of Defense De-fense Stamps were won by Mrs. Wm. Walter, Mrs. W alter Steffins, and Mrs. M. L. Faddis. Other guests were Mrs. Dwight Packard, Mrs. MUo Bean, Mrs. Stanley Roberts, Rob-erts, and Mrs. Robert Marrott. Mrs. Ronald Price and little daughter Kathryn left Wednesday for Palo Alto, California, to visit with her brother .and. sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jacobs, and see her new nephew who arrived Sunday at the Jacobs home. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs took them as far as Salt Lake City. Mrs. Janet Jackson entertained a group of friends and neighbors at her home on Monday afternoon, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. an-niversary. Social chat was enjoyed, followde by luncheon. Guests included, inclu-ded, Mrs. Victor Barney, Mrs. Alon-v.o Alon-v.o Ellis, Mrs. Amelia Thompson,, Mrs. Harry Steele, Mrs. Margaret Anderson and Mrs.. Alfred Dexter. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Green entertained en-tertained at a family dinner on Sunday in comrrtiment U their son Petty Officer Samuel J. Green, who is visiting here from his studies stud-ies at the University of Colorado. Covers were laid for the honor guests, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ferguson and children Colleen and Perry of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Myers and son Kenneth, Ken-neth, and Misses Mary, Myrtle and Kathleen Green. On Friday evening of hist week Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Warnick entertained enter-tained at dinner in compliment to Eldredge Warnick. Covers were laid for the honor cuest, his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. N.
