Show Citizens Are Doing Fine Job of Cleaning Up; More Yet To Be Done I he citizens of Pleasant Grove nave responded cheerfully and wholeheartedly to the idea of mak- . ing Plasaant Grove a cleaner and more beautiful place in which to live, according to Mayor S. Duane-Harper, Duane-Harper, who is more than pleased with the fine response. The editor observes, however, that there are some places, within a short distance of our main business busi-ness section that are not cleaned up and which detracts very much from the good looks of the community com-munity we get used to looking at some of the more unsightly places until they dont Inok so bad but the stranger looking at them for the first time thinks they are an awful mess. Pleasant Grove is now in the particular position where hundreds of people come here to look the city over some of them are looking for a place to rent; some are look- ir.g for a home to buy; while others oth-ers are looking for land on which to construct homes let us do our part in makirg this the choice spot in Utah's new industrial area for people to want to come here to live they will want to come here if the people have enough pride to want to make it the choice place in all of Utah. Let"s not have one or two bad situation mar the looks of an otherwise other-wise good clean community. The City Officials, The Chamber of Commerce and other civic groups are proud of Pleasant Grove's fine people and urge that everything be done to make for progression and not for backsliding. |
