Show DEPARTING SOLIDER RECEIVES MUCH ATTENTION Merrill Eldredge Warnick has been the center of much social attention at-tention the past week, prior to his induction into the U. S. army. On Sunday, April 4, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick entertained for him, and for Miss Effie Warnick of Provo, Carl and Mark Douglas Warnick, whose birthday anniversaries all occur within a few days. On Sunday evening, following sacrament meeting, Miss Leah Jean Swenson, and Miss Lyle Atwood, entertained a group of young people peo-ple at the Swenson home in com-plyiment com-plyiment to the departing soldier. On Wednesday evening, Bishop and Mrs. H. V. Swenson entertained entertain-ed at dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Wanick and family in compliment com-pliment to Eldredge. Covers were laid for the Warnick family, Mr. and Mrs. Warnick Swenson and the host and hostess. On Thursday evening President and Mrs. W. W. Warnick entertained enter-tained at dinner for Eldredge and his family, and later in the evening the ward officers were hosts at a party honoring the same group at the home of Don Mack Dalton. Progressive table games were played and refreshments served. |
