Show 100 Attend Lions Club Meeting Wed. The entiro membership of the Pleasant Grove Lions Club, now numbering 51 members, were present pres-ent at the 100 per cent attendance business meeting held Wednesday evening at the Alpine Grill. This la the first time In the history of the local club that all of Its members were present at one meeting, according ac-cording to reports made by Pres-idnt Pres-idnt Junius A. West, and other club officials. President West in a few well chosen words expressed his appreciation apprec-iation to the members for the support sup-port they are giving him and his officers, and complimented the members of the attendance committee com-mittee and supervisor for the efforts ef-forts they put forth In securing a 100 per cent attendance. The local Lions club had a humble hum-ble beginning in the late thirties, with only a few members, and since that time has grown steadily until Its membership now constitutes constit-utes 51 of the leaders of this community. com-munity. The special mission of the local club has been promotion of good government and citizenship; development of civic, commercial, educational, social and moral welfare wel-fare of this community. As a highlight of the 100 per cent meeting, its Presiden.t J. A. West, first vice president S. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and second vice president George L. Jaynes have pledged to ride bicycles from Pleasant Grove to the Point of the Mountain and return and the club members are going to see. to it that the pledge is carried out. The event is to take place on Friday, September 12th, the day of the community Fair. The fair, under the able leadership leader-ship of William C. Smith is well in its preparation, and promises to be the best and biggest fair ever held in Pleasant Grove. The supervisor of the attendance attend-ance commit '( is S.
