Show Cadmus Club Is Honoring Outstanding Women Of Pleasant Grove At Tea "It is desired that the annual Fleasant Grove Community Fail-will Fail-will present to the people of this city and surrounding communities a vivid picture of the community life of this area, wherein they can see the fine products of the fields, garden and homes, the arts and crafts and the hobbies of its people." peop-le." says William C. Smith, general gen-eral chairman of the annual event. The program as outlined will present to the school students and townspeople some of the fine things that come out of such an exhibition as we are having. The younger students will have an opportunity of displaying their wares at the Central School next Thursday, September 11th. and the faculty of that institution are wholeheartedly supporting such a fine exhibition. The people are also invited to visit the Central School and see the fine displays that will be there. The program as outlined by Mr. Smith and members of the Lions club and of the organizations is as follows: Thursday, September 11th: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Exhibitions will be entered at the high school gymnasium. Friday, September 12th: 9 to 10 A. M. Livestock and Flower Exhibits entered. 10 A. M. Judging of exhibits. All exhiibits must be entered by 10 o'clock a.m. and all exhibitors must be out of the building. 11 a.m. "Fair Day" program in the high school auditorium. High school and Junior high school students stu-dents and townspeople are invited. 1 p.m. Official opening of the Community Fair. 3 p.m. Birthday program, honoring honor-ing pioneers at the Relic Hall by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. 4 p.m. Dedication of Pioneer Park, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. " 6 p.m. Donkey Softball Game, at the Campus. 9 to 12 Dance, Floor Show, Prizes at the High School Gym. The various departments are divided div-ided as follows: Arts and crafts: All kinds of Paintings. There will be a special exhibit by several local artists of their prize winning work. In the Crafts department will be all kinds of leather work, metal work and wood work. Hom'emaking: This department will be all cooked, canned, baked and dryed fruits and vegetables and foods. All types of sewing and needle-craft. needle-craft. Fruits and vegetables: It is desired de-sired to have displayed the wide range of products from our communities. com-munities. Livestock: Horses, dairy and beef cattle, sheep and hogs. 4-H Hobbies and small animals: Fowls, and small animals, anything any-thing that children desire to exhibit ex-hibit along this line. The Central School faculty will arrange for exhibiting of the hobbies hob-bies and pets at the Central school. Manufacturing and Industry: This exhibit is to show what the community is doing in the industrial indust-rial and commercial way. |
