Show Manila Ward To Honor Departing Missionary Sunday Next Sunday evening in the Manila Ma-nila ward at 7:30 a farewell testimonial test-imonial will honor Merrill Eld-redge Eld-redge Warnick, son of President and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick, who on Sept. 8 will enter the LDS mission home in Salt Lake City, prior to departing for the Northern states mission field. Speakers will be President Merrill Mer-rill N. Warnick, L. M. Atwood, Bishop Warnick Swenson and the missionary. Musical numbers will include a piano solo, medley of LDS hymns fjy Miss Kay Eldredge of Granger, a trumpet solo by Don Bowman of Brigham City; a vocal solo by Mrs. E. Ray Brown, and an organ solo by Mrs. Kenneth Adams. Elder Warnick is a 1942 graduate grad-uate of the Pleasant Grove high school and attended the BYU for two years before entering the U.S. army, where he served three years in the European theatre of war. He has been an outstanding 4-H Club worker, having won state contests in Dairy demonstration. |
