Show Funeral Rites Held For Ellis Huff On Tuesday Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday at 1 o'clock in the first ward LDS chapel for Ellis Huff, who died on August 29 In a Provo hospital. With Bishop H. S. Walker In charge the services opened with a vocal duet, "In the Garden" by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Elwood Allen, Al-len, accompanied by Irwin Jensen. Harold Bullock offered the invocation. invo-cation. Speakers who paid tribute to the fine traits in Mr Huff's character and spoke words of faith and encouragement en-couragement were Vilace Radmall of the Timpanogos stake presidency presiden-cy and Bishop Spencer Madson of Provo. Irwin Jensen played an organ solo. ' After closing remarks by Bishop Walker, Bishop August Johnson, accompanied by Esther Williams, sang "Going Home". Benediction was pronounced by William P. Clayton. Internment was made in the Provo City Burial Park, where the grave was dedicated by Chris Jeppson. Mr. Huff was born March 2, 1S76 in Ohio, a son of Charles and Sarah Chestnut Huff. He spent his early life in Washington and moved mov-ed to Provo in 1918. He married Emma Marrott in September, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had resided in Pleasant Grove since. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his widow and six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Len-ora Len-ora Clemments, Newburg, Ore.; Mr.s Allena Alson, Hiijm, Washington; Wash-ington; Mrs. Scioto Salisbury, Le-Grand, Le-Grand, Oregon; Otto Lee ,Huff, Springville; Mrs. Belva Shaw, Nampa, Idaho, and Mrs. Minnie James, Provo. |
