Show Mrs. A. P. Gaisford attended a bridge party Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. I. L. Lott in Lehi. Mrs. Erma E. Idle and son Wallis of Laramie, Wyoming, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. A. D. McAllister. The Home and Community department de-partment of the local Farm Bureau will not meet this week. A business session will be held next week at the home of Mrs. Mary K. Mower. Harry Norris, who has been confined con-fined to the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake for the past week receiving re-ceiving medical attention, returned to his home here on Wednesday. - Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Konold of Laramie, Wyoming, are here visiting with Mr. Konold's brother, Mr. Rudolph Konold and his nieces, Mrs. J. L. Mower, Mrs. C. J. La-Pluer, La-Pluer, Mrs. G. N. Hoffman and Mrs. Bessie Devitt. Rudoph Konold, Mrs. Annie H. Richards of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Mary L. Mower accam-panied accam-panied Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Konold of Laramie, Wyoming, on a trip to the southern wonderland, Bryce, Zions and Cedar Brakes. The members of the Alpine Stake Sunday School Board and their partners held a party Thursday evening eve-ning up American Pork canyon at the Delbert Chipman camp. Supper was cooked and the rest of the evening eve-ning spent playing games. There were twenty-five members and their guests present. Mrs. Stephen T. Shelley was a guest of the Pleasant Grove chapter of the Daughters of the Pioneers Friday afternoon in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. J. Sanford Walker, a sister of Mrs. Shelley's, read a sketch of the life of Samuel H. Smith, father of Mrs. Shelley and Mrs. Walker. Mrs. Shelley and Mrs. Walker sang a duet "Whispering Hope" during the afternoon program. Mr. W. J. F. McAllister was entertained en-tertained Monday evening on his 92nd birthday at the home of his son, A. D. McAllister. Four sisters, nephews and nieces and their families fam-ilies were present, making 47 guests in all. Mrs. Erma E. Idle and her son Wallis, of Laramie, Wyoming, were present. Mrs. Idle is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. McAllister's sister, Mrs. Mamie McAllister Young. A very delightful evening was spent in re-meniscing re-meniscing and musical numbers were rendered, after which lovely refreshments were served by Mrs. A. D. McAllister, Mrs. D. R. McAllister of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Seymour Sey-mour McAllister of Ogden. Local Items Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Royle of Lehi and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. McAllister, Mc-Allister, spent Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple with Mrs. Erma Idle. Miss Melva Chipman returned to Salt Lake City Tuesday, after spending seven weeks here with Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Noyes. Mr and Mrs. Neldon Varney moved into an apartment in the John Wagstaff home the latter part of the week. Mr and Mrs." Robert E. Cunningham Cunning-ham and daughter Roberta, Mrs. Earl Kelly and Miss Golda Cunningham Cunning-ham have been visiting in American Fork for the past ten days. They expect to leave for their home m Los Angeles the latter part of the week. |
