Show Man and Wife Killed In Automobile Auto-mobile Crash Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Marrott, formerly of the Windsor ward, but nw of Powell, Wyoming, were instantly in-stantly killed in a head-on collision with an oil truck going from Powell to Cody, Sunday night, and their two sons, Arthur and Jar vis, were seriously injured, when Mr. Marrott turned out to pass a car and failed to see the oil truck that was in a dip in the road. Both drivers had the same idea to turn out into the barrow pit to prevent hiting the other and ran head-on into each other with this sad result. Mr. Marrott was the son of Arthur Ar-thur and Selina. Stradling Marrott and was born at Charleston, December De-cember 7, 1887. Mrs. Marrott, a daughter of George W. and Sarah Winterton Simmons, was born at Charleston, Utah, August 22, 1890. They are survived by a daughter, Mrs. Francis Williams, and two sons, Arthur and Jarvis Marrott, and three grandchildren, all of Powell. Mr. Marrott is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters: William A. Marrott of Provo, Mrs. Harriet Backus and James and Ascil Marrott of Orem, Mrs. Clara Hooley, Lindon; Mrs. Mary Haws, Vernal; Mrs. Elsie Simmons, Tridell; Mrs. Velma Hansen Han-sen and Mrs. Verveen Judd of Bur-ely, Bur-ely, Idaho. Survivors of Mrs. Marrott are her parents and the following brothers and sisters, all of Charleston: Edward, Ed-ward, Jesse, Ellen, Albert, Sylvan, Ernest, Violet and William Stradling. Strad-ling. Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day at 2:00 p. m. in the Windsor ward chapel, with Bishop Stanley B. Han-is of the Windsor L. D. S. ward in charge of the services. Interment In-terment was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery. |
