Show Mrs. Susie Miller and Mrs. Laura Dunkley represented the local chapter chap-ter of the Service Star Legion at a meeting held in the Hotel Utah Saturday. Plans were formulated for the annual state convention to be held in the Memorial house in Memory Grove May 24th and 25th. A shower was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. .t. Bennett last Friday night in honor of Vira Mae Bennett and LaVar Holdaway of Vineyard. The evening was spent in playing progressive games, prizes being be-ing won by Mrs. George Scott and Mrs. Clyde Birk. Lunch was served to forty guests. The young couple received many beautiful gifts and words of advice. Am. Fork Locals Mr. and Mrs. Ray Faddis and i family of Lurk, spent Sunday visit-! ing at the home of his mother, Mrs. Bert Faddis. Mrs. William Householder returned Inst week from Rawlins, Wyoming, where she spent a month visiting with her sister, Mrs. Myron Cran-dull. Cran-dull. Mrs. Donna Soren-sen of Salt Lake, was sustained as a member of the General Board of the Relief Society at the semi-annual conference of the auxiliary organization in &alt Lake last week. Mrs. Sorenscn is a graduate grad-uate of the B. Y. U. and taught in the local high school for several years. Among those attending the funeral services of Mrs. Ellen Conder Taufer in Salt Lake last Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Irving L. Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Durrant and Jim Dur-rant, Dur-rant, Mr. and Mrs. Will Conder, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Durrant, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Green, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Durrant, Dur-rant, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Green, Mr. and Mrs. David Durrant, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dickerson, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fredrick, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Conder and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Conder. j |
