Show ; SCHOOLNEWS SPEECH CLASS PRESENTS PLAY The 9th grade speech class, under the direction of Miss Viola West, gave the assembly program Friday. The numbers, consisting of a review re-view of the year's work, were as follows: Readings: "A Real Hero," Delia Radmall; "Trials of Mother," Iona Adams; "Task of Sitting Still" Richard Swenson; "Neighborhood Terror," Elmo Greene; "A Rapid Recovery," El wood Greene; "Being Firm." Nyhra Roundy; "Giving," Naomi Harsh; "Easy Work," William West; "Jimmy "Jim-my Is Sent to the Principal," Anna Boren; "The Weather," Harvard West; "Mrs. White's Visit," Ber-nice Ber-nice Wilson. Musical numbers from the class were interspersed with the readings, and a play, "Catching the Train to Trask," was the closing number. Those in the play were Rex Walker, Rhea Hooley, Elwood Greene, and Nyrha Roundy. Erma Atwood offered the opening prayer. Ford Poulson and E. A. Beck in company with the other music teachers of the district, left Friday, April 12, for Pasadena, California, to attend the California-Western States Music Supervisor's Confer- ence- They will be gone a week, returning re-turning in time for the Music Festival Fest-ival in Provo, April 19th. |
