Show Manti Temple Caravan Trip Success! On Tuesday ninety seven genealogical genealo-gical workers of the Alpine stake went on an endowment excursion outing, to the Manti temple. Everyone Every-one who went reports the trip as i having been greatly enjoyed by all. The party left here at 4:40 a. m. having assembled at the tabernacle comer where two large busses and ten private cars were waiting. They arrived at 8:30 o'clock and were given the glad hand of welcome at the temple doors by President Young of the Manti temple who gave each and everyone a hearty greeting. The: group then went into a preliminary1 meeting, where Bishop Storrs of this stake and Edward Southwicki of Lehi spoke. The first session ended at 2 o'clock and after a short j lunch period, the group attended I the second session. The party ar- i rived home by ten o'clock that, night. i j John Jacklin, chairman of the I temple work committee of the stake committee was in charge of the ar-1 1 rangements and was assisted by Joseph Anderson of the stake organization organ-ization and the ward temple com-mittee com-mittee chairmen: Terry Draper, O. L. Despain, Eli J. Clayson, J. W. j Phillips, O. C. Day and Dave Dar-, gar. Tire ward genealogical workers greatly appreciated the efforts of; this committee in putting over thel outing and everyone had such a good time that it is likely another, possibly to another temple, will be conducted this summer. o |
