Show Ten Years Ago j Now (Taken from files of Jan. 2. 1920) The entertainment given Tuesday evening in the Third ward c.Ii.'ijh'I by the Sunday School of tlr.it ward was very well attended and much enjoyed. The main feature of the entertainment was the children's operetta "A Dream of Fairy Land" with the little Misses Sarah Shelley and Vivian Lee taking the leading roles. Ten Years Ago Now Mrs. Rosminnie II. Madson, 88, mother of Murius Madsen, pa.;ed away at the Madsen home Sunday morning after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Mad.sen joined the L. D. S. church in Denmark and came to America in the year 1873. Ten Years Ago Now The rustum of the high w;ho)l auditorium has been undergoing considerable con-siderable remodeling during the paM two weeks and when the work is completed the high school will be able to boust of a well equipped stage which will fill a long felt need of the school. Heretofore the t.tm:r equipment has been but temporary. Approximately $1200 worth of new scenery has been ordered for the stage and is expected that the i.tw.'s will be ready for u:.e for the lint production with the new :.et.Un;':. about the middle of January. Ten Years Aj-'o Now-- Three babies arrived in the community com-munity during the psuM v''',,,k- 0,1 Saturday morning, Mr. and Mrs. George Pi rce made welcome a line b;.by boy. The b"sl of all Christmas Christ-mas gifts at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wank Huggard wa.s a bouncing bounc-ing baby boy who arrived at their home Christmas morning. A girl arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Greenland of Highland. Saturday in honor of the 9th birthday of her daughter, Edith, Mrs. Vfrn Walker entertained 15 of the little lady's friends. Christmas decorations, dec-orations, games and motifs made a merry time for all. |
