Show Cupid Has Busy Holiday Week Dan Cupid was certainly busy in the last few weeks of the old year and as a result, several of American Fork's popular young people are plighting their troth in a "Happily ever after", the game ending "Love All." Mr. and Mrs. 1936, the couple chosen for the New Year's wedding on the stage at the Paramount Theatre in Provo, were two of American Amer-ican Fork's popular young people. An application certificate was published pub-lished and the couple selected by the theatre management. . Ray Robinson, Robin-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Robinson Rob-inson and Miss Elsie Hadlock, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hadlock, were Mr. and Mrs. 1936. A few minutes after midnight, to the strains of a wedding march, the bridal party took their places on the stage. The groom was attended by Mr. Ed Evans of California. Entering Enter-ing from the opposite side, the bride was escorted by Mr. Levin, theatre manager. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Erma Josie, of Provo, and a sister of Mr. Robinson, Mrs. Fern Peterson, of Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were presented pre-sented with a complete set of clothes, the bride wearing a floor length dress of white crepe and a beautiful veil of white tule and carried a bouquet bou-quet of lilies. Hie two lady atten-dents atten-dents were dressed in white and pink flowered organdy and carried bouquets bou-quets of carnations and rose buds. In addition to the clothing presented, pre-sented, Mr. and Mrs. 1936 received gifts from the theatre and the various vari-ous business houses of Provo that would amount to $200 in value. They will make their home in American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Erving Richins announce an-nounce the marriage of their son Lagrand, to Miss Lenora Reid of Los Angeles, California, which took place December 20th at the home of Mrs. Ervon Lamb, Mr. Richins' aunt, in Los Angeles. The young couple left December 21st for American Fork to spend the holidays with Mr. Richins' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Irv-ing Richins. Everett Richins and Ed Chesnut have been visiting in California Cali-fornia and returned to their home here with Mr. and Mrs. Richins. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Greenwood announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter, Fern, to Mr. J. Ordell Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly. The marriage is planned for some time hi April. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Watkins of Alpine, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Elza, and Mr. Elliott Lee, son of Mrs. Samuel F. Grant. The i marriage will take place the latter : part' of this month. r |
