Show Ogden Livestock Show Draws Many Entries OGDEN, Dec. 31 The most entries en-tries in the history of the Ogden Livestock show are assured for the Seventeenth annual exhibition to be held in Ogden, Utah, January 10 to 16, according! to information released re-leased from the show office this week- The entry list will include over 4000 head of livestock, large displays of poultry, seeds and wool. The increase in-crease in the number of animals that will be on exhibition this year over any previous Ogden show Is estimated esti-mated at 50 per cent. Included in the exhibits will be some 800 head of purebred beef cattle, cat-tle, 300 head of purebred dairy cattle, cat-tle, 200 head of purebred sheep, 300 purebred hogs, 200 individual fat steers, 50 carloads of feeder cattle, 20 carloads of fat cattle, 15 carloads car-loads of bulls, 20 carloads of fat hogs and 15 carloads of fat lambs, making the largest exhibition of its kind ever held west of the Rocky mountains- The officials in charge look for a large display of exhibits from Future Fu-ture Fanners and 4-H club members, with much better quality even than has been represented in the junior division at previous Ogden shows. The program calls for the student's judging contests and the judging of all junior exhibits to take place Friday, Fri-day, January 10, the opening day of the show. Saturday will see the judging of Individual fat steers, Aberdeen-Angus cattle, Guernsey cattle, cat-tle, purebred swine, purebred sheep, fat hogs and fat lambs. On Monday Shorthorn cattle, Holstein cattle and car-loads of fat cattle will be judged. Tuesday's judging will include Hereford Here-ford and Jersey cattle and the judging judg-ing program will be completed Wednesday Wed-nesday with the selection of the prize winning carloads in the big feeder cattle show. The show's auction sales will start with the purebred Shorthorn cattle sale to begin at 1.00 p. m- Tuesday, January 14. The auction of fat livestock live-stock starts at 10:00 a- m. Wednesday, Wednes-day, the purebred Hereford cattle sale at 1:00 p- m. Wednesday and the auction sale of carloads of feeder feed-er cattle at 10:00 a- m. Thursday. Seventy head of Hereford and 50 head of Shorthorn bulls are entered in those sales. An interesting amusement program pro-gram is lined up for the stock show visitors, which includes the annual stockmen's dance Monday evening, January 13, Tuesday evening the athletic carnival and Wednesday evening the annual stockmen's banquet. ban-quet. These three features of the entertainment program have been put on every year since the show was iniated.
