William Firmage and daughter, Agnes, are spending the winter in California. Miss Meda Hill of Spanish Fork is visiting this week at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. James Bar-ratt. Bar-ratt. Mrs. Frank Bruff and children of Nephi visited here Friday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Glen Sykes, and family. Mrs. Warren B. Smith and sister, Mrs. Elvira Steele, returned to American Fork after spending Thanksgiving and on to the Christmas Christ-mas holidays in Idaho at the home of relatives. Mr. Charles Peck visited the past week in American Fork. Mr. Peck is at the Salt Lake Veteran's hospital hos-pital for medical treatment. Mother and baby are getting along fine- Miss Gwendolyn Richin, who is attending! at-tending! the Henagers Business college col-lege at Salt Lake City, was a visitor at the home of her parents Christmas Christ-mas day. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nelson returned to their home here this week after spending the Christmas holidays in Boise, Idaho, at the home of Mrs-Nelson's Mrs-Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. I-Goodwin. I-Goodwin. Mrs- Kenneth Robinson attended the wedding of her brother, William Evans, in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mr. Robinson motored to Salt Lake City Sunday and returned with his family late in the evening. Attending! the Provo Lion's club invitational party Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs- Leo Meredith, Dr. and Mrs. V. F. Houston and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Baird. After dinner at the Roberts hotel a dance was given in the amusement hall at the State hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Harvel (Bun) Bennett Ben-nett announce the arrival of a baby boy at their home December 24th. The young man is getting along fine and making rapid progress on his job of boss of the house. Miss Fern Robinson returned to Salt Lake City this week after visiting visit-ing in American Fork during the holidays. Miss Robinson is attending attend-ing the Excelsis school of Beauty Culture in Salt Lake City. ' Mrs. Lyle Grant entertained at dinner at her home Sunday, places at the table being laid for the following fol-lowing guests: Mr. and Mrs- Samuel Grant, Mr- and Mrs. Melvin Grant, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Grant, Miss Lillie Shatter and Glen Wright. The two table Contract Bridge clubs enjoyed a progressive party with their husbands as guests, Friday Fri-day night. A part of the lunch and a game was given at the homes of M. L. Baird, Glen Sykes, Leo Meredith Mere-dith and V. Meredith, Stanford Briggs and James Chadwick- The Home and Community group of American Fork held their regular monthly meeting Friday at the home of Mrs. Mary K. Mower. The election elec-tion of officers for the coming year resulted in the reelection of Mrs-Mower Mrs-Mower as president. Mrs- T. A. Greenwood was selected vice president; presi-dent; Mrs- Hilda King, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. C. J. Goodall gave an interesting and instructive lesson on health and refreshments were served in the candle light of the Christmas decorations- |
