Show C.W.A. Project Employs 75 Men Citizens of American Fork to the number of 78 have gone to work under the American Fork City C. W. A. project to date, and according accord-ing to L. R. Pett, who is in charge, another ten to fifteen will be added by Saturday. The payroll at the present time is over $1,500.00 per week. Up to date the city has been able to get only the road project underway under-way because of the need of materials mater-ials on other projects and funds available thus far will not provide anything but labor payrolls. Main street east from the cement has been resurfaced as the first road work. The next street to be worked on will be First north, from Center to Third east and Church street. City officials are endeavoring to work out some feasable plan to get the other projects underway and put additional men to work. Mr. Pett reports that the work outlined now will run to about January Jan-uary 15th. |
