Show Am. Fork Men Have Outstanding B. YU. Theses Two outstanding Master's theses were submitted by American Fork students at Brigham Young university univer-sity this spring. John Wing and E. Ray Gardner, principle of the L. D. S. Seminary, both did exceptional work in obtaining their Master's degree. Mr. Wing majored in chemistry. His thesis were "Determination of Small Amounts of Lead in Spray Residue by Electrolytic Method." In this study it was shown that there is a small amount of poison left on fruit when it has been sprayed and that quite a few cases of sickness are caused in this way. "This is a very valuable study for people living in fruit areas", Charles E. Maw, professor of chemestry, said. Mr. Wing will return to B. Y. ju. next fall to continue his studies and act as 'an assistant instructor. Mr. Gardner's thesis is "A preliminary prelimi-nary Study of Social Backgrounds ! and Subsequent Activities of Three Hundred Forty-Two Brigham Young university Graduates from 1922 to 1932.", which was more completely outlined in our last issue. |
