WEDDING RECEPTION PRETTY AFFAIR ALPINE NEWS Mrs. L. Bates, Reporter. The many friends of Mrs. .Lawrence Devey will be pleased to know that she is able to leave the hospital and is visiting with her aunt, Miss Annie Limms. Mrs. Devey was operated upon two weeks ago for goitre. Mrs. Will Healey is reported to be doing nicely following an operation opera-tion for goitre Monday morning at a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs- Paul Carlisle, Mrs. Robert Crookston and Mrs. Elmo Crookston entertained at a kitchen shower for Miss Berniece Hunter at the Hunter home Monday afternoon. The after noon was spent with gmes, etc., after which a dainty lunch was&servi-' ed. The bride, formerly Miss Berniece Hunter, was attired in a beautiful lavender velvet wedding dress with trimmings to match, and carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Ida . Moyle, Miss Laura June Bridwell . of Salt Lake, and Miss Jessie Hunter. Each carried bouquets of sweet peas. Austin M'oyle, brother of the groom, acted as best man. " Many beautiful and useful gifta were presented the young " couple. A large number of relatives and friends attended the affair. . Mr. and Mrs. Moyle left the same evening for a trip to Arizona, Texas and California and will be at home in Alpine after January 1st. |
