Show Ernest Smith Answers Call Ernest Smith, 50, miner, formerly of Mammoth died Friday morning at the residence of Thomas Hillman, following an illness of five months. He was born in Fleasant Grove, July 2S, 1S97, and spent the early part of his life here. During the past 20 years he had been employed in the I mines at Mammoth. Surviving are two daughters, Gean and Ora Smith, Pleasant Grove, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Larson, American Fork; George Smith, Fred Smith, Mrs. Annie An-nie Gillman and Mrs. Hattie Richards Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day afternoon at 2 p. m. In the tabernacle taber-nacle with Bishop B. H. Adams In charge. A vocal solo by Elroy West accompanied ac-companied by Reva Fugal, was the opening musical selection. The Invocation In-vocation was offered by George Riclr-ards. The speakers were: Bishop F. D. Atwood, Henson Nielson and S. 11 Swenson. Closing remarks wera made by Bishop B. H. Adams. Other musical numbers were a cello solo by Ford Poulson, accompanied accomp-anied by Edna Poulson Church, a quartette selection sung by Ethol West, Reva Fugal, Mr. Cox and Mol-vin Mol-vin Grant, and a vocal solo by Stella Hardman accompanied by her daught er, Viola Thorne. The closing selection selec-tion was a vocal duet by Stella Hard-man Hard-man and Viola Thorne. The benediction benedic-tion was pronounced by T. A. Atkinson. At-kinson. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Irvin Smith. |
