Show City Officials Pass. Tentative Tenta-tive Budget For 1930 At a special session of the city council Wednesday evening a tentative tenta-tive budget for the year 1930 was sub. milled by Recorder Thomas A. Bar-ratt Bar-ratt and passed for publication prior to the public hearing to be held Saturday, December 4, 1929. The budget places the estimated revenue total at $37,827.56. The greater amount comes from taxes, $23,S72.5G being estimated. From licenses and cemetery are expected $1,400 eash and $1,000 from back taxes. The water system should provide $7,000 and fines $1,200. A number of other amounts less than $1,000 each brings up the total. Estimated expenditures covers a long list of amounts from waterworks improvements, interest and repairs, which is $12,000 to amounts of a few hundred. The larger Items include streets, fire department, police, public property, band, salaries, cemetery, street lighting, bonds, interest and notes, and library. The total expenditure expen-diture is placed at $37,827.56. An itemized table of revenue and disbursements is given on page seven ot this paper. |
