Show First Ward Sponsors "M" Men and Gleaner Girls Lecture The First ward M Men and Gleaner Glean-er Girls sponsored a real evening's treat Tuesday at the Alpine Stake Tabernacle, and invited as their guests the M Men and Gleaner Girls of the other wards. Over 200 assembled at 8:30, and listened to a splendid lecture on "Japenese Social Habits and Customs" given by Takeo Fijuwara, a Japenese student of the B. Y. U. Mr. Fijuwara appeared in complete costume and gave a splendid talk and accompanying demonstration on Japenese Jap-enese customs. He proved to be a wonderful character and has a remarkable re-markable personality, as evidenced by the manner in which he put over his toDic. He joined the L. D. S- Church in his native land and has been in this country less than two years. For the length of time spent in America, his achievements have been truly remarkable. re-markable. The evening proved to be most interesting in-teresting as well as intellectual. Much credit is due Delbert Greenwood, Green-wood, who was instrumental in securing se-curing Mr. Fijuwara's services. |
