Show First Ward Dell Program Complete An unusually interesting program of events has been outlined by the First ward: M. I. A. officers for the ward's stay at Mutual DeE, next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Everyone will meet at the First ward chapel Monday morning at 7:30 in order to be ready to leave for the canyon at 8 o'clock. The officers ask that everyone eat breakfast break-fast before leaving home. Monday morning will be spent in . getting located at the Dell and in I games. Lunch win be served at 12:30 and the afternoon will be spent playing games. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p. m. and there will be a snappy program followed by a dance in the evening. On Tuesday everyone will arise at 7:30. Flag raising will be at 8:00 and breakfast at 8:30. The Timp. hike will follow. There will be a short hike for those who do not wish to make the Timp. hike. Lunch will be served at 12:30 and the afternoon program will consist of games and ball games. In the evening there will be a treasure hunt preceding the bonfire. At the bonfire party weinies, corn, buns, punch and cookies will be served. Marshmallows will also be toasted. The following program will be given at the bonfire: Community singing; sing-ing; two instrumental numbers by Karl Bennett; solo, Rulon Nicholes; story, President Clifford E. Young; solo, Darrell Wanlass; trio, Beth Cheever, Beth Wanlass and Beth Rush ton; community singing. Wednesday will be Ward Day. The day's program will be as follows: Arise at 7:30; flag raising, 8:00; breakfast, 8:30; clean Dell, 8:30 to 9:00; nature hike at 9 o'clock, under the direction of Forest Guard, Scott R. Brown; lunch at 12:30. Various sports and contests such as sack races, relay races and ball games will be carried on during the afternoon, climaxed by the following follow-ing program to be given in the amphitheatre am-phitheatre at 7 o'clock in. the evening; eve-ning; prayer, Orval Mercer; community com-munity singing, under the direction of C. A. Grant; dancing numbers, under the direction of Helen and Irene Johnston; violin solo, Selma Seastrand; song, "Tab" and "Bun"; stunt, under the direction of Emma Stiener; accordian solo, Carma Meredith; Mer-edith; prayer, Samuel Grant. A loud speaking system will be installed in-stalled by Ray Shelley in the amphitheatre am-phitheatre for the Wednesday evening eve-ning program in order that every one will be able to hear all of the splendid program outlined. o |
