Show u Ten Years Ago Now (Taken from files of April 24, 192C) Miss Mary E. Abel was awarded the J. L. Firmage scholarship which is given annually to one student in the college of commerce, at the Brigham Young university. Mr. Firmage also gave a $100 scholarship in the school of music. Miss Abel is one of the university's straight A students. She is a freshman this year. Ten Years Ago Now The first call for all baseball . players of the high .school, citizens and all others who are Interested, has been made. The American Fork Commercial club has voted to get back of the baseball club and appointed ap-pointed a committee to look after the selling of season tickets, transportation trans-portation and check the finances. The prospective line-up of players points toward a championsliip team for this season. Ten Years Ago Now A new electric automatic cooling system has just been installed in the Halliday Meat Market during the past week. The plant is regulated automatically and driven by an electric elec-tric motor thus keeping the refrigerator refrig-erator and counters at an even temperature. Ten Years Ago Now The Crookston Barber Shop and Beauty Parlor are moving their quarters from the basement of the Bank of American Fork into the building formerly occupied by the Nelson Ricks Creamery company. The new 6hop will be ready for business busi-ness in a few more days. |
