Theobald and Harold Woot-ton Woot-ton made a business trip to Park City Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Owen West of Salt Lake City visited with relatives in American Fork and Pleasant Grove Sunday. Mrs. Steggell has been ill for the past ten days with influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Linebaugh are moving to the Regina Thorne home on Main street. Mr. and Mrs. William Partington will move into the Hayes home in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Halliday were visitors at the E. H. Fowlke home last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. McBride of Idaho, were visitors at Lindon Thursday. Vard Johnson left Sunday night for Cedar City, where he expects to be employed. Clifton Winters left Sunday for Reno, Nevada, where he expects to be employed. Mr. and Mrs. Jens P. Fugal were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Swenson in Provo. The ladies of the Mother's club motored to Springville Thursday to see the Art Exhibit at the Springville Spring-ville high school. Mrs. Meeks' mother of Dr. Meeks' returned Tuesday to her home in Circleville, after 'an extended visit here with her son and family. Mr. and Mrs. William Peterson announce an-nounce the birth of a winsome baby girl at the Lehi hospital Saturday. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Lee Peterson made a business trip to Salt Lake City Sunday and Monday, Mon-day, returning Tuesday evening. Mrs. Mary Ellsworth McKell of Payson, visited Sunday and Monday with her sister, Mrs. James D. Thorne. Mrs. Josie Christiansen and family of Salt Lake City, visited at the home "of Mr. and Mrs. William Christiansen Sunday. Mrs. Richard Allred and Mrs. Alta E. Walker attended the Passion play, presented at the B. Y. U. in Provo, Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar M. Cullimore Culli-more and family at Garland, Utah. James W. Halliday celebrated his 86th birthday Tuesday. He said he was going to stay quietly at home with "mother". Mrs. Ida Peterson went to Salt Lake Tuesday to help care for her new grandson, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Peterson. The baby was born on Easter Sunday. i Mrs. Roy Swenson, who has been ! visiting the past month with her ! parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence West, will return to her home in Los Angeles Sunday. ? The many friends of Alfred Swenson Swen-son of Provo, formerly of Pleasant Grove, will be sad to ear that Alfred Al-fred has been seriously ill with pneumonia, but is reported slightly improved. ' Mrs. Katie M. Hayes, who spent last week visiting with relatives and friends here left Friday to visit a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. Jos. Jeppson in Salt Lake City, before returning to the home of her son-in-Boise, Idaho. A shower was given by Miss Mildred Mil-dred Swenson in her Provo apartment apart-ment Tuesday evening in honor of Miss Leone Burch, a bride of Wednesday. Wed-nesday. The Genealogical SociHty of the Timpanogos Stake gave a picture show at the Alhambra Theatre Tuesday Tues-day evening. The main leature picture pic-ture was "The Keeper of the Bees." The house was packed to capacity. Hay Wcotton, who has "been living -with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wootton, most of the past winter, joined the .CCC Camp at Cottonwood the Irrst of the -week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olson entertained enter-tained Wednesday evening at a miscellaneous mis-cellaneous shower in honor of the marriage of their son, Arnold Clyde, and Ruby Louise Adams, which oc-cured oc-cured in the Salt Lake temple Monday, Mon-day, April 20. Sixty guests were present. The newlyweds received many beautiful and useful gifts. The Ladies Auxiliary to the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Fire department, entertained enter-tained at a social Monday evening at tihe home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frampton. Mr. and Mrs. Claude BurcSi of American Fork announce the engagement en-gagement of their daughter, Leone, and Myron Jense of this city. The marriage to take place Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. Miss Burch has been employed by the Dixon-Taylor-Russell store at Provo for the past 18 months. Mr. Jense has been a student of the U. S. A C. for the past year.
