Show Beautiful Wedding Wed-ding Reception Tendered Couple A beautifully arranged wedding reception was tendered by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Greenwood Wednesday evening in honor of the marriage of their daughter, Fern, and Mr. Ardell Kelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kelley. The couple were married mar-ried earlier in the day in the L. D. S. temple in Salt Lake City. The gay "affair was held in the Apollo hall, Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood Green-wood and Mr. and Mrs. Kelley, parents par-ents of the couple, welcoming the guests as they arrived. The bridal party stood in front of the orchestra stand which was decorated dec-orated with flowers and floor lamps. The bride was lovely in a model of white satin with enveloping veil of tulle attached to a smart turban of fluted tulle with Lily of the Valley and braided rosettes. She carried a bouquet of Calla lilies tied with silver ribbon. Mrs. Mary Nelson, as matron of honor, wore a floor-length dress of blue net with a matching corsage of sweet peas and rose buds. Miss Louise Firmage, maid of honor, wore a rose colored gown of moire and embroidered linen. Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Adams, Gwen McGrew and Bessie . Kelley, bridesmaids, were frocked in alternating colors of blue and pink and wore corsages in harmony har-mony with their dresses. The groom was attended by his brother, Howard Kelley. Both wore full dress suits with white carnation carna-tion buttonairs. Early in the evening the orchestra orches-tra played the appropriate music of "I Love You Truly" and the bridal party were joined by their partners and waltzed. A short program followed, fol-lowed, Leo G. Meredith acting as master of ceremonies. Rulon Nlch-oles Nlch-oles sang "Because God Made You Mine," President Clifford E. Young made a few remarks and Jackie Kelley of Provo gave a clever song and tap dance number. The young couple were presented with numerous beautiful gifts which were displayed by Mrs. Roy Steele, Mrs. Warren Boley, Mrs. Leo Meredith Mere-dith and Mrs. Delbert Chipman. Refreshments Re-freshments were served under the direction of Mrs. Vern Boley, Mrs. Harlow Jones, Mrs. E. P. McGrew and Mrs. Ray Shelley. Assisting with the serving were Madoline Robinson, Rob-inson, Barbara Pett. Nan Chipman, Zola Grant, Emily Currie, Fae Var-ney. Var-ney. Beth Ellison, Irene Giddings, Helen Smith, Donna Lue Davis, Irene Jones and Dorothy Greenwood. Green-wood. o |
