Show Assistance to be Given In Home Canning Five women of the local F. E. B. A. roil have been .sent to Provo to receive the information being given by M:.s Pederson of the county Farm Bureau, in connection with the pro;? r method of canning and storing stor-ing vegetables. Classes started Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Those going were Mrs. Edith Coward, Mrs. Albert Laycock, Mrs. Grace Coates, Mrs. Glen Hampton and Mrs. Mattie Huggard. The date next week for the beginning be-ginning of this work in American Fork has not yet been definitely set, but will be about Wednesday of next week. At that time a county worker and the five above named women will be prepared to aid all those enrolled en-rolled on the F. E. R. A. Persons must furnish their own vegetables. Pressure cookers, seasoning and cans will be furnished at the place set aside. The building will be furnished by the city and the local merchants have donated the fuel needed for this purpose. All of the business firms are working to aid the local I social workers in their efforts to help in the preservation of these vegetables. vege-tables. All clients interested are urged to get in touch with those in charge and let them know when their vegetables will be ready for canning. |
