Miss Josie West and Mrs. Daisy Nielson were Salt Lake visitors Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. John Boulter and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Euvada Gardiner, were Heber visitors Monday and Tuesday. Tues-day. Marjorie Holdaway spent Monday visiting with Miss Elizabeth Newman New-man at the L. D. S- hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reed of Price, and Mrs- Deon Clyde of He-ber He-ber were week-end visitors of Mrs. John Boulter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Howard N. Thorne and family are visiting indefinitely at the home of Mi-. Thome's mother, Mrs. Regina Thorne. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Keetch and baby of Heber and Mr. and Mrs. A. G- Keetch left Friday for a week's trip to Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. McKell and family of Payson, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Thorne Monday while enroute home from summer school at Logan. Margery and Leland Lewis and Mrs. Lucy Peterson of Salt Lake City returned home Sunday after a ten days visit with their aunt, Mrs. Mary Cooper. Mrs. Lettie Houston is in Salt Lake this week caring for the children chil-dren of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Terry, who are enjoying a motor trip East. Don Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. George L.'- Smith, returned home Sunday after 10 days in the Provo hospital following an operation for appendicitis. Miss Elizabeth Newman is slowly improving at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake City following an operation opera-tion about six weeks ago for a ruptured rup-tured gall bladder. ; The Mothers club ladies and their husbands enjoyed a trip to Saratoga Tuesday evening. At 8 p. m. all enjoyed a swim in the pool after which a picnic luncheon was enjoyed. A. P. Wamick was a Logan visitor Thursday and Friday of last week. Neldon Lim is ill at his home. Leland A. Clark returned Friday from Logan where he has been attending at-tending summer school. Mr. and Mrs. William Partington returned home Sunday from Logan where Mr. Partington has been attending at-tending summer school. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Sw-enson and Mr. and Mrs. Orson Lee enjoyed a trip to Fish Lake Saturday and Sunday of the past wreek. James D. Thorne made a trip to Springville Friday to purchase cherries cher-ries for the Pleasant Grove Canning Co. Mi'- and Mrs. George Lein left Tuesday for an indefinite visit in Strawberry Valley-Mr. Valley-Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Lewis and Mrs. A. N. Newei of Salt Lake City, were Sunday guests at the Cooper home. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Giles of Hcber, were guests Sunday of Pleasant Grove relatives. Harold A. Thorne of Salt Lake City, was a Pleasant Grove visitor Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Wallace West and Mr. and Mrs. David A. West of Salt Lake City, were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. West Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. George and daughter, Margery, of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday here, guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Theabald. Joseph A. Dickerson, section foreman fore-man at Nephi, spent the week-end with his family here. Miss Estelle Fenton is improving nicely at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake City where she underwent an operation June 28th for appendicitis appendi-citis and gall stones. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fenton and Mrs. Harry Richa,rds were in Salt Lake City Sunday to visit Miss Estelle Fenton, who is convalescing at the L. D. S. hospital following a major operation. Mrs. S. D. Huntsman and daughter, Millie,, who has spent the winter in Nevada, are occupying the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clayton while the Clayton family are in California. Mr. Clayton is attending summer echool there. Mrs. D. J. Edwards and family of Panaca, Nevada, are visiting indefinitely indefi-nitely at the Wadley home in Lin-don, Lin-don, while Mr. Edwards is in summer sum-mer school at the U. S. A. C. Miss Ruth Keetch entertained Monday afternoon at a social in honor of her brother, Fred Keetch. It was his fifteenth birthday. Out-of-door games were played after which a dainty lunch was served to ten guests. Mrs. Harold B. Walker was hostess hos-tess to the ladies of the Mothers club last Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Sessions of Provo, gave a very interesting talk on the proper prop-er lighting of the home after which delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Alta Walker entertained at a family party Friday afternoon at her home. Those present were, Mr. and Mrs. C. Sterling Cluff and children, chil-dren, Rulon and Lloyd, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allred and baby, Mrs. Martha Mar-tha Canham and Mrs. Chastina Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hendrickson, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gray, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Adamson and their families enjoyed a chicken dinner and rest in the cool shade of American Fork canyon can-yon Friday evening. Dr. and Mrs. C. O. Jensen entertained enter-tained at an early morning breakfast after the dance at Geneva last Saturday evening. Those enjoying the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Vem Culliniore, Mr. and Mrs. Paid Adam-son, Adam-son, Mr. and Mrs. Leland A. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Matthews, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marrott and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lewis of Magna. A very enjoyable time was reported Among the outof-town guests who attended the funeral of Hans A. Laursen were Mrs. James Westcr-gard Westcr-gard and daughter, Mrs. Ole Jensen and son, Mr. and Mrs- Cliris Jensen. Mr. Sam Sorenson, Mr- W. Miller of Salt Lake, members of the Danish Brotherhood of which Mr. Laursen was the last charter member- They acted as pall bearer |
