Show Funeral Services Held for H. A. Laursen Funeral services were held Friday, June 28, at the Second ward L. D. S- chapel over the remains of H- A. Laursen, Sr., a local blacksmith, who died June 25, of a heart ailment after af-ter twro weeks' illness. Counselor O. R- Clark was in charge of the services. The speakers speak-ers were Joseph Adams, a neighbor of the family; S". L. Swenson, Bishop B- H. Adams, H. P. Hanson of Salt Lake City, and closing remarks by counselor C- R- Clark. Musical numbers rendered during the services were a duet by Stella Hardman and Viola Beers, string quartette by Mrs. Lavona Jensen, Mrs- Martha Jones and Mrs. Elna Jensen. The invocation was given by John C. Coulam and the benediction by T. A. Atkinson. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Niels L. Monson- Mrs. Laursen has been a resident of this city for the past 16 years. Surviving are his widow, Pctrea Laursen .and the following sons and daughters: Tarvel, Hans and William, Will-iam, of American Fork; Mrs- W. A. Williams, Kill City, Idaho; Mrs- Violet Vio-let Pace, Provo; Ilah Williams, Vineyard; Vine-yard; Georgte, Los Angeles, Calif.; Eddie, Helper, and Everett of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. |
