Pratt of the local fire department Issues warning to all residents res-idents of this community, asking that until the dry season passes that every person do his part to avoid fires. "Do not permit children to have matches at home and do not let them carry matches from the home. "Use every precaution in starting your morning fire. Avoid using a lot of paper and kindling, remember the roof of your house is dry, one spark may set it afire and a spark from your roof may set fire to the home of your neighbor. "Be careful not to smoke in your g'arage, nor in any other garage; it is the fumes and not the gasoline that explodes- "Firecrackers will often continue to burn after the first explosion and if left in the dry grass, may cause considerable damage. "Be sure all trace of fire is extinguished ex-tinguished after the burning of rubbish rub-bish or grass around the home. "Remember that it costs $25 00 every time the Fire Department is called out and this is paid by the taxes you pay. "Above everything else 'Help to keep American Fork Fire-Free."
