Show County Tax Receipts Distributed Apportionment of nearly $700,000 by the Utah county treasm-er was completed this week, following the final tax collections in December. Altogether the treasurer, John C. Taylor, has collected $1.173. OSS 23 in taxes from the various taxing units. Distribution cf $691,855.15 of this amount, collected in the last part of 1934, was one of the last official acts of Mr. Taylor, who went out of of-j of-j fice Monday. The balance due the various taxing tax-ing units, paid during the latter part of the week, the remainder to be paid within a short time, is as follows: Lehi, $7,191; Alpine, $405; American Fork, $7,968; Pleasant Grove, $3,644; Alpine school distirct, $48,866; Provo, $64,627; Provo school district, $49,321. Springville, $12,147; Mapleton, $2,-332; $2,-332; Spanish Fork, $10,462; Payson, $6,072; Salem, $371; Santaquin, $501; Goshen, $1,355; Nebo school district, $97,005, state and state schools, $87,-905, $87,-905, state road, $18,790, Utah county $169,114. Total $691,855. o Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Mathews of Panaca, Nevada, were visitors at the Karl Banks home from Thursday of last week until Saturday. Mrs. Mathews and Mrs. Banks are sisters sis-ters John Boulter left December 30 with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Boulter, for Pasadena, Pasa-dena, California, for an indefinite visit with his children, Don and Al Boulter, and Jane Boulter Dun, who live in California. Mr. and Mrs- Jess Harding, Mr. and Mrs. John Boulter visited Friday, Fri-day, December1 28, with Mr. Boulter's Boul-ter's sister, Mrs. Dell Norris, at Sandy, who is seriously ill. William Van Wagoner and sons, Ezra and Amnion, called on Mrs. John Boulter Monday enroute for S'alt Lake. Ezra will leave soon for a mission to the Eastern states. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence West announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, daugh-ter, Veld a, and Roy Swenson, son of Mr- and Mrs. Nels Swenson, formerly form-erly of this city, at Las Vegas, October Oc-tober 4. The marriage has recently been made known- The young people peo-ple will make their home at Huntington Hunt-ington Park, California. |
